Chris got to race at I-77 raceway on 05/20/11. Chris had a little trouble in time trials as a few others did because they watered the track after hotlaps and it still was greasy in a few spots. Chris Transfered into the A-main in his heat and started 8th. The car was working well and ran 4th in the A. Chris was moving on the high side late in the race. The 4th place finish was a good start to the OVSCA season. Rain out early Thursday for Skyline sent Chris to lernerville Pa. on 5/26/11 only to have them cancel late Friday afternoon. This made the next race 5/27/11 at Mercer raceway Park. Chris made some adjustments after hot laps and was real pleased with how his car was working. Chris got boxed in at the strart of his heat race and missed the transfer spot by one. This put Chris on the outside pole of the B-main. Chris was sure to transfer if there was no problems. On the first lap going into turn one Haudenschild went in hard on the low side and Chris hard on the outside when Haudenschild broke a rear axle causing him to come up the track leaving Chris no where to go. Chris joined the upside down club. The fuel tank was ripped open causing a large fuel spill. But no fire. It could have been alot worse than it was as the cars where locked together after the crash. Both drivers walked away. Chris will have the car ready for Skyline this Friday. Above is a few picks from I-77 and then some from Mercer Pa. The damage to the 25 car was a little more than Chris had first thought and he is working hard to get ready for this Friday at Skyline 6/3/11. Hope to see you there and new shirts are ordered for the Myers Brothers. You will want to have one for sure. Stay tuned
Chris did make it to Skyline with the help of Nickolas. Chris set 5th quick time. Went out for the heat race and the motor would not start!!!!!!!!!!!! So what should have been a nice start place in the A turned into running the B and having to start in the 17th spot in the A. Chris was working on a solid top ten went he hit a inside tire tiring to miss a spinning car. Lucky it didn't take him out of the race but it did bend the axle and Chris fell back to 12th. Ohio valley was fast on Saturday. Chris had another good run placing 2nd in his heat and running 6th in the A main. At one piont Chris had made it to 4th but fell back to 6th late in the race. Josh Davis found something on the top and passed Chris and Dickson.
